New dress

Guess who decided to show off her new dress this year?

I planted this a few years ago, and had more or less given up hope of it flowering ever (or certainly this year), when all of a sudden it surprised me! Nature does things in its own time, and how right it is.

The weekend has been hectic, so in spite of my really good intentions to do a long post, with loads of news and photos, this is all I can manage, a few minutes before 1 am!

Off to bed, night night!

Ruby Tuesday

I've been wanting to post this for ages, since St. Patrick's Day Parade when I took it.

Doesn't he deserve full marks for dressing up to fit the part?

Happy Ruby Tuesday everyone! To see more RT posts, click on the ruby slippers above and they'll bring you to Mary T who generously hosts this meme.

Yard Art on Thursday/Friday

I think it's Friday by now everywhere, but if I don't post this now, it may not happen next week either.
Apart from everything being really busy, every time I tried to photograph this, it was either dark or raining.
Anyway, I saw these pair a few weeks ago, and to be honest, I bought them for Yard Art! Then I had some lettuce that I got in a "cut and come back" container, so decided to transfer some and see how it goes. The lettuce is looking pretty sad- I think the frogs have been eating it!

A Giveaway

Have you ever gone into a shop where you just want to buy everything? That’s what happened to me today, when I found the etsy shop French Country 1908.
They have some really beautiful “finds”, and their prices are very, very good.

What’s even better is that they are having a GIVEAWAY! Magic words!
If you’re interested in getting, free gratis, AND for nothing, a $50 voucher for French Country 1908, just go over to Nancy's Daily Dish and follow the instructions.

Oops, the link that I tried to insert hasn't worked, but I think if you click on the badge at the top, then copy the url, it will take you there. I do not like the new blogger way of uploading pictures!

Have a really lovely weekend, everybody!

Ruby Tuesday

I love these ruby windows in the International Bar.
The pub is in the centre of Dublin, and plays host to some very good comedians. I discovered recently, when I met up with Robin, that it is the starting point for a 1916 Walking Tour of Dublin that sounds like fun.I'm planning to try it in the summer so I'll let you know then.

A bench from Glendalough

I haven't had the heart to post for a while, as all my spare energy has been concentrated on a sick child, my friend's daughter.
She has had a slight improvement, in that she's off the ventilator now, but she is in a lot of pain, and she is frightened.I don't know where her Mum is getting the strength to keep going, but there's no choice.

Life is hard sometimes, and our prayers, Reiki and angelic support are all we can offer from here. I just hope that's enough.
